Scottsdale Arts Festival
Thousands that appreciate the arts converge on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall in early March each year for the three-day arts festival in Old Town Scottsdale. The Scottsdale Arts Festival started in 1971 and is ranked as one the best art festivals in the country drawing over 40,000 art lovers.
The festival features over 200 jury-selected artists from all over the country and Canada who create original paintings, sculpture, glass art, jewelry, ceramics, photography, weaving creations and other crafts and decor. Art items can be purchased directly from the artists at the festival or at the Festival auction on its website.
Besides enjoying the art creations, the Scottsdale Art Festival features live music, food trucks, hands-on activities for kids and adults and artist demonstrations in a great shaded outdoor environment. Tickets are nominally priced with student discounts. Children under 12 and members of the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art are admitted free.
