You'll love Thursday nights in Scottsdale. Whether an art enthusiast or not, the leisurely strolls along Main Street and Marshall Way in downtown is a great way to explore over 100 art galleries at your own pace. The galleries remain open until 9:00 PM to showcase a wide variety of art treasures.

Best of all, the Scottsdale ArtWalk is free. Everything is on display with some special Thursday night exhibits. You never feel pressure to buy. Go window shopping and slip into a gallery for closer looks. Of course, you're more that welcome to buy that special piece, but if you just want to gaze around, this is the perfect time.

When the mood hits, jump into one of the many restaurants in the area for a bite to eat. Grab a glass of wine or linger outside and be entertained with sidewalk music or watch art demonstrations by very talented artisans. ArtWalk, A Scottsdale Tradition For Over 30 Years

It all happens in the Scottsdale Arts District. Along Main Street and Marshall Way. South and north of Indian School Road and west of Scottsdale Road. Signs painted on the sidewalks point the way to perhaps the largest collection of art galleries per capita than any other place in the country. Expose your creative senses to traditional oil paintings, water color landscapes, bronze sculptures, Native American Indian jewelry, rare weaving art, pottery, glass art, southwestern art and much more from historic collectibles, wearable art, and incredible paintings to contemporary decor.

When You Go

When and where. ArtWalk is held every Thursday from 7 to 9 PM. All year except Thanksgiving Day. Always in the Scottsdale Arts District. North and south of Indian School Road. West of Scottsdale Road primarily along Main Street and Marshall Way.

Where to park. If you come early, you may be lucky to park on the streets in front of the art galleries. Look on the side streets or park at the Scottsdale Civic Center parking garage. The Scottsdale Trolley runs on Thursday nights until 9:00 PM and it's free. See the Downtown Trolley Stops Map.
