Scottsdale Downtown Districts

Downtown Scottsdale Arizona is comprise of major districts, each with its own distinct ambiance. Some are very contemporary while others feature tastes of the old west or nostalgic areas from earlier years. All have something in-common. Energy, lively and uniquely original. Scottsdale Downtown Districts are all pedestrian friendly, and in close proximity to each other.

To differing degrees, the districts are all sprinkled with boutiques, shops, hotels, restaurants, bars, lounges, and nightlife. Scottsdale constantly evolves and shares a taste of Arizona history, culture, chic urban escape, nightlife, events, celebrations and entertainment that satisfies every style. Fashion Square District

Scottsdale Fashion Square Shopping Center is a destination. It is the largest shopping center in the Southwest with more that 225 high- end retailers including the only Neiman Marcus, the first Nordstrom, the newest Macy’s and the largest Dillard’s in the country. Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall offers a host of entertainment and restaurants. The center features a full-service concierge desk, roving concierge, tourism shopping packages, programs and information. Valet parking and taxi and limo services are available.

Scottsdale Waterfront

The Scottsdale Waterfront is the link between the 5th Avenue area and the Fashion Square. Set on the edges of the Arizona Canal the Waterfront District boasts over 1.1 million square feet with its center focus of two 13-story towers of condos. It has strolling paths public art, restaurants, retail outlets and an amphitheater. The Doors, its three-story, walk-in kaleidoscope is an attraction.

SouthBridge District

The SouthBridge District of Downtown Scottsdale is located on the south side of the Arizona Canal across from the Waterfront District. SouthBridge is an urban village near Scottsdale Road and Camelback Road, comprised of high-fashion boutiques, shops and restaurants. Sitting on five acres, it has open-air, charming courtyards that buzz with activity day and night.

Entertainment District

The name speaks for itself. It is the energetic entertainment scene in Valley of the Sun. Both exotic and traditional. This is where nightlife thrives. The pedestrian-friendly area is filled with nightclubs, chic lounges, cocktail bars, wine bars, dance clubs, roof-top bars and a wide variety of places to dine. This is where you will find the hottest places like the the W Scottsdale Hotel and Residences, Axis/Radius, The Mint, Jack Rabbit Supper Club and a whole bunch more. The Entertainment District is located east of Buckboard Trail from 6th Avenue to Camelback Road.

Fifth Avenue Shops & Boutiques

The Fifth Avenue District is one of the oldest areas in Downtown Scottsdale that combines the ambiance of early days with some upscale touches. You find a little of everything here. There are 30 restaurants and places to dine and about 80 specialty shops that include unique shops, boutiques, art galleries, beauty salons and even nightlife spots. It is very pedestrian-friendly and is home to its famous landmark, the Bob Park's Horse Fountain.

Old Town Scottsdale

This is where it all began. A taste of the old west. A stroll into some nostalgic ambiance that was originally created more than 100 years ago. There are still 12 designated buildings that house art galleries, restaurants and cowboy bars. The museum here is located in the old "red schoolhouse". Brown & Stetson Business Corridor

This is the professional business district in downtown Scottsdale AZ. Located on the east side of Scottsdale Road north of Indian School, The Brown & Stetson District is home to companies, but that doesn't mean all work and no play. It is interspersed with unique shops and fine restaurants. The Creme Stereo Lounge with its eight-foot Roman bathtub, CO2 dance floor and extraordinary sound system is in this corridor along with the Pearl Sushi Lounge.

Civic Center Mall

Great place to spend a relaxing day. Stroll the well-landscaped grounds which contain the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. The Civic Center Library is located here with its Children's Library. If you love MLB Spring Training, Scottsdale Stadium plays host to the San Francisco Giants. There are public art pieces sprinkled in the mall. The Civic Center Mall is located on the east side of Brown Avenue from Osborn to Indian School Roads.
